  • Over two million bushel storage capacity
  • 120-car unit train rail loop off of the BNSF
  • Built in unstudied flood plain on the Big Nemaha River
    • Area has flooded twice since construction – facility stayed dry
  • Multiple stream crossings
    • Analyzed existing bridges
    • Used HEC-RAS analysis to size reinforced concrete box crossings
  • Poor river-bottom soils required deep structural foundations under bins and towers – auger-cast piles
  • Provided construction oversight for the entirety of the earthwork and concrete work
  • Provided civil design for entire site: roads, rail and utilities
  • Provided structural design on all reinforced concrete foundations for bins, dump pits and towers
  • Designed and permitted through Nebraska Department of Roads highway entrance off US 75
  • Traffic flow for through-facility for 40+ semi-trucks at a time
  • Wetland Mitigation through the Army Corps of Engineers
